KT Tunstall is returning to the Kingdom next year at one of her favourite venues.

The famous Fifer makes her way back home in March as her new tour arrives at the Alhambra.

She previously had her Dunfermline audience waxing lyrical over her performance as the singer graced the stage two years ago.

The theatre in Canmore Street will now host her once again as she takes her new album, Wax, on the road.

It’s the singer’s sixth studio album, boasting 11-tracks including new single, River, which was released late last month.

Wax follows on from KIN, the first in a trilogy of records focusing on soul, body and mind.

She burst onto the music scene in 2004 with her debut album, Eye to the Telescope, and has never looked back, with her work receiving critical acclaim and national recognition, as shown when she was nominated for the Mercury Prize in 2005 and her Brit Award win for Best British Female Artist in 2006.

Hits like Black Horse and the Cherry Tree and Suddenly I See made her a household name and led to tours around the world, performing in a host of venues.

She still holds the Alhambra in Dunfermline in high regard, having played there after its refurbishment in 2008, and then again in 2011 and 2016.

She previously told Press:ON from her home in Los Angeles: “I remember playing the Alhambra back when it re-opened as a music venue and it’s just such a fantastic space.

“It holds quite a few folk but it’s got this really great up-close and personal feel in there and it’s a fantastic sound.”

She will experience first-hand that feel once more as she plays the Alhambra on March 7, 2019.

The tickets go on general sale on Friday and are available from the Alhambra box office on 01383 740 384.
