THE popular Elderly Forum initiative, which is a key part of the Central Fife Crime Prevention Panel's calendar, will take place this year on Friday November 23.

At the Panel's meeting on Wednesday members chose the date and the venue will again be Lochgelly Town Hall.

Panel vice-chair, Dave Roy, said: "We hope to have around 100 senior citizens at the Town Hall that day from all over the area and it will again be a mix of entertainment and sound community safety and crime prevention advice for them."

Tickets for the 2018 Elderly Forum will be distributed starting in late October.
