ONCE again Benarty Events Group drew a massive crowd to Lochore Meadows Country Park on Saturday, this time for was The Rockore Music Festival.

Around 3,000 people enjoyed a fantastic concert with 10 bands playing throughout the day.

The weather was fantastic for the event with the sun high in the sky and the big crowd were using the dance area from the very start of the festival.

A year of planning by the group came came to fruition on Saturday no stone was left unturned.

Said Events Group chairman, Eddie Easson: “We try to plan for every eventuality and the group try to learn something from every event we put on.

"We are out in the field asking for opinions from the people attending and we try to implement the ideas. Some things are possible others not.”

There were bands from all over the country playing, headliners Claire Grogan’s Altered Images had just flown back from a concert in Belgium.

Magic Queen had come from Wales and stunned the crowd with fantastic rendition of Queen's hits. There was a good mixture of band playing various genres of music. The same could be said of the crowd with a good blend of all ages all there to soak up a great atmosphere.

Rockore is now on a fixture on the festival calendar with tickets being sold all over the country.

Eddie added:“The events the Benarty Group put on brings thousands of people from and all over Scotland and further afield to the Meedies.

"There were visitors from Dubai, Australia and Spain. There were also busloads of people from Aberfeldy, Falkirk and Edinbugh.

"As always the money made from the event will go straight back into our community events.

"The next event on the calendar is at Christmas. The Group intend to make the Festive celebrations even better and bigger this year for the Benarty people".

The Benarty Events Group would like to thank everyone who volunteered for Rockore as without their help there on the lead up to it and on the day there was no way the event could go ahead.

Also the assistance from local businesses for their continued support. On the day Ian Bruce and Owen McGuire stepped up to the plate when the Group were struggling for plant.

A special thank-you has to go to Park boss Ian Laing’s staff at the Meedies for their sterling effort at the concert. Also the assistance from Terry Ironside’s Golf Club committee with the use of the Clubhouse.

The biggest thank you goes to the Benarty public for their wonderful support throughout the year making the events happen.

Concluded Eddie: “For next year’s Rockore we intend to raise the bar a couple of notches to make the event even better than this year.

"We would love to make it bigger but were at the limit now. The group won't sit on our laurels it’s onwards towards the next event.”
