CARDENDEN Village Fair takes place this Sunday and will go on at Wallsgreen Park, starting at 11.30 am and will run until 4pm.

This year the committee are proud to announce the addition of the wonderful Fife Mobile Museum MAC Bus, featuring their theme tour, “Incredible Inventions & Marvellous Machines”.

And the good news for the Village Fair Committee is that the weather forecast is excellent for Sunday with sun mixed with intermittent clouds predicted.

The MAC Bus is something which can be enlightening for all age groups and is certainly worth a visit!

It holds a real wealth of information for everyone.

The Village Fair is looking forward to the first visit from Fife Police Dog Unit, who will be giving a demonstration in the park.

This amazing team sees handlers and dogs working as a team fighting crime and it can be a spectacular sight.

For your memories go and have your photo taken with Alba Falconry and then why not take a pony ride with Remus Equestrian?

Or enjoy some bouncy fun with Andrew Masterton’s inflatables!

If you enjoy model aeroplanes why not take a turn with Glenrothes Aeromodelling Club in the far field?

Aeromodelling can give you the feeling of being in control of your own aircraft and can be great fun.

During the afternoon there will be performances in the centre area by the Suzette Twirlers, Bowhill Karate Club, Kirkcaldy Pipe Band and Sarah Hendry’s Highland Dancers.

Between the performances there will be a series of the popular children’s races with many thanks to John Gilfillan, the local undertaker, who is an expert at organising these for all age groups.

John is a regular at all the local gala events and a very valued part of the day.

Around the performance area, you will find many stalls from local charities and causes plus information on local groups you can join.

On top of that you can look forward to buying beautiful unique gifts from the wonderfully talented crafters who will be part of the day.

There will also be face painting by Angela’s Squiggly Faces, glitter tattoos and Henna with Hamaira – Exquisitely Beauty’ful.

Secretary of the Village Fair Committee, Janet Ann Archdale, said: "I haven’t mentioned food but we will have Peter Scott, and Pam’s Ices; Dinky Donuts; Angus Burgers & Crepes, Aloha Shave Ice and Candy floss flowers – plenty for everyone for a great day out!"

Cardenden Village Fair is kindly sponsored by, Ore Valley Housing Association, Bowhill Community Centre, The Corrie Centre, Mr Dowie, Cardenden Community Council, and this year the event has received funding from the Ventient Westfield Cardenden Community Fund administered by Foundation Scotland – with many thanks.

Janet added: "These sponsors are so vital to our cause and we warmly thank every one of them for their support."
