THE long awaited return of one the best music festivals in Fife, Rockore happens this weekend.

And it is set for a huge turn out of fans for the second Rockore.

The Benarty Events Group has again come trumps with the brilliant Claire Grogan’s Altered Images headlining the festival, which will be hosted by the idealic Lochore Meadows Country Park.

The line-up is a mixture young and more mature bands. Local guy John Gallagher’s band Burning Daylight kick off the festival which is always a hard task.

The music is varied as well from reggae and ska with Pork Pie to full blown Rock 'n Roll with Joe’s Band. There are fantastic tribute acts with fantastic Queen Magic and Oasis tributes Stop The Clocks.

The legendary Dirty Harry take on Blondie is one slot on the bill not to be missed.

Young bands Break the Butterfly and Project 6 are two of Fife’s best up and coming bands. The line up is complete with The Absolute Jam.

BEG has put in a tremendous amount of work into this year’s festival having learnt from last year’s event.

There will be a food village with food vendors serving a variety of delicious food for those attending Rockore.

Tickets have exceeded all expectations, last year we had 1,500 this year we are heading for 2,500,” said Beg's Eddie Easson.

The group have been overwhelmed with the response for volunteers. The event couldn’t go ahead without them. Most of them pay for their ticket then want to help.

As always the proceeds of the day goes towards up and coming events in the Benarty Area.

Plans are already there for events for all ages from primary school children to senior citizens.

Added Eddie: "Hopefully very soon there will an event for our elderly residents in Benarty".

There are still a few tickets available so don’t miss out get your's ASAP.
