ORGANISATIONS in Benarty are being urged to apply for a grant from one of the area's most enthusiastic voluntary groups.

Benarty Fundraisers raise a lot of money through a range of activities each year and love helping local groups who may need help to fund a project.

Their deadline for their latest round of grants will be September 4 and the Fundraisers' Lea McLelland this week urged any group who may need some extra support for something they are doing to submit an application.

Said Lea: "Any group, constituted or not constituted, can submit an application for funding.

"They can find application forms in Benarty Community Shop at Benarty Square; Domestic Bliss; or Benarty Community Centre. All they need do is fill it in explaining what their project is and how much is needed.

"The form can then be lodged where they got the form from.

"So any group that has something they are working on and needs extra backing should just get their application in before September 4."

The Benarty Fundraisers hold a number of events during the year to boost their funds including Splash 4 Cash each New Year's Day and the Spooky Walk each Halloween at Lochore Meadows Country Park.
