COWDENBEATH will be looking to make East Fife's start to the season even worse tonight when the club's clash in the Irn Bru Cup at Central Park.

Like Cowden, East Fife have lost their opening two league games.

Cowdenbeath boss Gary Bollan was unhappy with the way his team conceded what he described as 'totally unavoidable goals' against Annan on Saturday and wants things to tighten up for the derby tonight.

Said the boss: "This is a competition we want to go far in if we can but we will have to defend better than we did on Saturday.

"Both goals were so very poor, from our point of view, and we need to do so much better as cheap goals being conceded spoil our good work going forward.

"A derby game always has that extra bite to it and tonight will be no different and we want to get our name into the hat for the next round."

Experienced skipper David Marsh will be a key man for the Blues tonight as East Fife have a few dangerous front men but Cowden have Jordyn Sheerin and Martin Scott in their front line which will give the Methilmen plenty to think about.
