A COWDENBEATH youth who repeatedly punched a 13-year-old schoolboy has been fined.

John Crawford, 18, of Primer Street, was previously found guilty of assault and returned to Dunfermline Sheriff Court for sentencing.

On August 21 last year at Leuchatsbeath Drive, Cowdenbeath, he assaulted a boy, then aged 13, by repeatedly punching him on the head to his injury.

The background to the incident was that Crawford thought his brother was being bullied by the complainer.

Sheriff Chris Shead fined Crawford £150 and ordered him to pay £200 compensation.
