S2 and S3 pupils rose to the annual Home Economics cooking challenge and the Great Beath Bake-Off was born.
S3 Practical Cookery pupils develop food products as part of their course. This year the theme was to develop designs of cup-cakes with a surprise centre filling.
The most successful ten designs then took their creators in to the Great Beath Bake Off.
A high standard resulted in a close run competition, won by Leah Nardone with Millie Beveridge runner-up.
S2 pupils designed and made a pasta dish. Each class evaluated their pupils’ creations and then the winner represented their class in the Pasta Off competition.
Winner – Isla Hume; 2nd - Lauryn Fetter and 3rd - Cole Beattie. The judges were very impressed with the quality of the pasta dishes they tasted. Well done all.........
