A KEY community facility in Kinglassie has received a massive boost.
A grant of £2,600, funded from the Ventient Energy Westfield Kinglassie Community Fund, administered by Foundation Scotland, will enable the Mitchell Hall committee to achieve a long held ambition.
Treasurer Gordon Mitchell said: "Ever since the Stage Curtains were installed we've wanted to fit matching curtains on the windows and now we can make it happen.
"These will greatly enhance the appearance of the hall and make a big difference to heat retention in the cold weather".
Added Gordon: "The wind farm grant along with a grant of £1,000 from Kats Mission, plus £1,000 that we have raised ourselves, will enable work to go ahead.
"We're very grateful to the grant giving organisations and all those who have helped with the fund raising".
The Mitchell Hall has become a highly successful community project in Kinglassie with it providing a hub which is used by all age groups in the village.
