THE Welsh Travel Club, from the Old Ship Inn, Lochgelly, handed over a cheque for £1,000 to Marguerite Henderson’s daughter Kim.
Kim warmly thanked the Travel Club members for their generosity.
Said the Club's Alec Kinnear: "The excellent sum was raised at a night that was in held in memory of Jim Brown, with amazing singer Kenny Smith and DJ Brian Hodge, who gave up their time to entertain us all in the aid of charity.
"Barbara, Jim’s wife, asked for the money raised on the night to be donated to Marguerite after seeing her plight."
Marguerite lost her limbs through a Sepsis earlier this year.
Alec explained that the Travel Club had been going to Wales for 40 years and they hosted their Welsh guests on every second year.
The trips to Wales coincides with when the Scottish rugby team are playing at Cardiff and over the decades the Wales supporters have reciprocated.
