A LOCHORE man caused damage running into thousands of pounds at a Benarty Primary School.

Dale Richardson smashed up computers and broke windows in his wrecking spree.

Richardson, 22, of Rosewell Drive, appeared in the dock at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.

He admitted that on May 1 last year at Benarty Primary School, Lochore, he maliciously destroyed and damaged property by smashing windows, breaking doors, destroyed computer equipment and damaged other items.

Depute fiscal Jade Doig said there was no exact value for the damaged caused but it would “run into the thousands”.

Defence solicitor Alexander Flett told the court his client has “a learning difficulty.”

Sheriff Simon Collins called for reports and for a valuation of the damage to be obtained by the Crown.

Richardson will return to court to be sentenced on July 25.

In May last year, Richardson was jailed for nine months after throwing a brick through a Ballingry woman’s window, narrowly missing her, after she refused to take a lie-detector test on the Jeremy Kyle Show.

He wanted to go on the show to settle a dispute about a “dalliance” he had with the woman who lived near him.

She told her boyfriend that nothing took place but Richardson thought he could prove it did by going on television.

All three had originally agreed to go on the show but when the woman changed her mind, a furious Richardson threw a brick through her window.
