A TEAM from Cowdenbeath had a great time in the Race for Life as part of Cancer Research UK's major fundraiser.
The team of Fife Council Business Support colleagues, from Brunton House, going under the name of Sole Sisters, came together to raise an amazing amount of money for Cancer Research UK.
Their efforts were in memory of their colleague and friend Karen Wilson and other friends and family members close to their hearts.
Said the team: "Our friend Karen sadly lost her fight to this awful disease earlier this year and we wanted to to our bit in her memory".
The team’s fundraising also included a bake sale which raised over £240. The team of eight took part in the Race for Life at Beveridge Park on Sunday.
All members completed the 10k course with very good times and raised the fantastic sum of over £2,200. They now have a PB to better in 2019! Their colleagues at Brunton House agreed: "Fantastic effort girls."
The members of the team can be seen here from left to right: Avril Forsyth,
Jacqueline Leonard, Sharon Bowman, Natasha Anderson, Cheryl Donnachie, Laura Watson, Tracy Kaleta and Kimberly Brown.
