THE highly successful Cowdenbeath based Highlander's Gym is organising a fundraiser for the Marguerite Henderson Fund this Saturday.

The event will be housed at the Bowhill Centre in Saturday night.

Lochgelly man Kenny Burnett's gym provides the base for people to develop their skills and fitness in a range of activities and they have recently set up a gym at Lochore Institute.

And the people who are involved there are determined to do their best to boost the fund for the Crosshill gran who lost arms and legs through a Sepsis attack after receiving a small paper cut.

Said Kenny: "We now have a wee gym set up in Lochore Institute and fighters are stepping in for charity bouts from local gyms, in boxing, kickboxing and Thai boxing.

"There are fighters coming from further afield to take part who are all supporting our local gym for this worthy cause".

Added Kenny: "We are only charging £10 and all proceeds will be going to the Marguerite Henderson Fund."

Marguerite's family set up the Fund to be able to provide her with bionic hands and a special electric wheelchair after doctors had to remove limbs to save her life following the Sepsis attack.
