EVERYTHING is in place for the big one year birthday celebration for the Lochgelly Youth Theatre.

They may have only been going for 11 months but the Lochgelly Youth Theatre has made as massive impact on the audiences in the area.

Their two shows stages at Lochgelly Centre has seen nearly 2,000 people go along to see what the young talent of the Cowdenbeath-Lochgelly area has to offer.

Such was their delight at the reaction to the Hairspray in the early autumn and Fame in March the young artistes want to put on a special show to celebrate Lochgelly Youth's first birthday.

And the rehearsals have been going well for a show which will be totally different for the young artistes.

Said director Liam Nardone: "We really did not know that to expect when we held our first show but the reaction of the public was brilliant so when we put Fame on we decided to run for three nights.

"It was equally as successful and with our first birthday coming up we felt we should do a special show."

Added Liam: "Our birthday is this month and to celebrate we are doing a show called One Night Only, in the Lochgelly Centre on Saturday at 7pm.

"This one is more like a cabaret show with lots of different songs from all musicals and eras.

"There will be songs from Shrek, Dear Evan Hansen, and even some different acts for example karate, just to show off everyone’s individual talents here at Lochgelly Youth Performing Arts."
