THE special fundraiser held by a Lochgelly dance school for the cause launched by a Crosshill family to help Marguerite Henderson, who lost her arms and legs through Sepsis, was a massive success.

The grand variety show, at the Lochgelly Centre Theatre, on Wednesday night, saw some tremendous dancing and singing talent on show from all age groups and a tremendous turn out to support it.

The grand total of £2,800.60 was realised for the Fund.

Grandmother Marguerite sadly lost the limbs from a paper cut causing the Sepsis infection and her family are working hard to raise £80,000 to purchase bionic arms and an electric wheelchair.

Marguerite’s daughter and grand-daughter are members of the Zodiac School of Dance, Lochgelly's Citizen of the Year in 2017, and the school members have been doing their bit to help with the fundraising.

And Marguerite was able to organise to get to the Lochgelly Centre from hospital for the show and she thanked everyone for their support.

Said Zodiac's Stacey Gunn, who organised the show: "The event could not have gone better and I would like to thank everyone who took part and who supported it be coming along.

"There were some tremendous performances from a lot of very good young dancers."

Stacey was supported by dancers from her own school and also other dance schools and a host of singers took to the stage in Marguerite's cause

Stacey added: "We had Zeedc crews from Zodiac School of Dance, crews from The Dance Studio, crews from Love2Dance, Ava Hoggan from OnPointe, plus solo dancers Darren Hamilton, Steven Blake and Aaron Lee.

"The singers we had included Elaine Green, Pamela Davie with accompaniment, Natalie Adamson, Vikki McGinnie, Heather Henderson, Courtney Bryson, Sian Adamson and Erin Robertson". Stacey also was able to take the mic and contribute with her lovely voice while MC was Iain Leslie who kept the evening moving.

The family were so delighted with the event and thanked everyone for their backing.
