THE first Lochore Meadows Parkrun on Saturday morning turned into an unqualified success.

No fewer than 344 runners turned out at the Meedies in superb weather conditions for the first ever park run at the country park.

And the total is thought to be the most that has taken part in the parkrun initiative at any one Fife venue.

The parkrun is about weekly, 5km timed runs. These are open to everyone, free, and are safe and easy to take part in.

Isabella Carmichael, who is second from the left with grey and blue hi vis vest, was one of the main organisers of the Meedies event and was delighted with the magnificent turn out on Saturday and she hopes to see many return for the future runs at the magnificent venue.
