A LUMPHINNANS girl is this weekend going to tackle a stretch of the Fife Coastal Path to aid the battle to find an answer to one of Scotland’s most debilitating diseases.

Carly Schiavone is raising funds for Alzheimers Scotland on Sunday March 25 at 11am.

She is walking from Burntisland car park to the Forth Road Bridge, some 10 miles in total. Carly has set up a JustGiving page on her facebook. Said Carly’s dad Robert: “Any donation would be so much appreciated. Carly would love people to join her to raise as much money as possible for this worthy cause, after losing her grandmother a few months ago to this terrible disease.”

Carly, who is an excellent singer and entertainer, is committed to raising money for this cause after seeing how Alzheimers affected her gran’s life.

Last year she attempted a similar venture and raised a good sum.
