AWARD winning Cowdenbeath business John Young Signs has become a Fife Chamber of Commerce Premier Partner – signposting their commitment to strategically supporting the Chamber’s work.

The company joins a group of existing Fife businesses who hold Premier Partner memberships, a vital role where local business leaders take responsibility for actively contributing to, promoting and driving the Chamber’s vision and success.

Company Founder John Young said: “We started the business nine years ago and for the last seven years we have been a Fife Chamber member.

"Over those years, we’ve grown from a small start-up, to a national award-winning specialist service, with four workshops and showrooms, employing the best staff in the business.

“During our years of membership, we have been finalists at the Fife Business Awards, twice won our category at Scottish national level, and gone on to represent Fife and Scotland in the ‘Business of the Year’ category at the British Chamber Business Awards – where we competed against companies such as Luton Airport and even James Caan from Dragons Den.

“With the backing and support we’ve had from the Chamber team from the day we took up membership, the decision to take the next step to Premier Partnership was an easy one to make.”

Speaking after the Chamber’s first Fife Social networking event of 2018, hosted at John Young Signs’ premises in Woodend Industrial Estate, Cowdenbeath, John continued: “Like anything in business, you have to get involved and make positive contributions to create opportunities and grow success. Working with Fife Chamber and its membership certainly has its benefits, and all members and Premier Partners have a responsibility to make membership as mutually beneficial as possible.

“From Fife Socials, to Christmas lunches and mentor-led experience-sharing events, Fife Chamber members have great opportunities to do business and make lasting introductions to help build the local and national business network.

“We’re looking to expand our business nationally and then internationally over the next few years, so our business plan involves marketing our company to new areas. As a Premier Partner, we will be actively promoting Fife, Scottish and British Chambers to our large contact base, expanding our network to generate more opportunities for ourselves and fellow members.”

Fife Chamber President Peter Southcott said: “We are thrilled that John, Fiona and the team at John Young Signs have chosen to become our latest Premier Partner.

"The importance of the role our Premier Partners play in helping Fife Chamber to deliver valuable services and support for our members across the whole of Fife, cannot be under estimated.

“John Young Signs is already a very successful Fife company, but it has big ambitions to grow beyond its current services and markets and become a national player. We are delighted that they have chosen to become a Premier Partner to help them achieve these ambitions.”

John Young Signs join existing Fife Chamber Premier Partners: Amazon, BIG Partnership, Borland Insurance, CTDI, Diageo, Edinburgh Airport, EQ Chartered Accountants, Fife College, Fife Group and Links Business Solutions.
