SUCCESSFUL local brass band, Kingdom, want to take over Kelty Library as their base.

Kingdom Brass have been based in Cowdenbeath for several years but they have been looking for a bigger base.

An asset transfer request has been made to Fife Council under Part 5 of the Community Empowerment (Scotland) Act 2015. The request has been made by Kingdom Brass and relates to ex-Kelty Library Building, Cocklaw Street, Kelty.

Said Coowdenbeath Area manager Kevin Sayer: "The request is for purchase of the land/building.

"The proposed use of the land/building is for rehearsal space for groups and individuals".

Anyone may make representations about this request to Fife Council.
