OVER £1,000 of drugs were found by officers in a raid on a Ballingry house on Saturday.

Community Investigation Unit officers executed a warrant at an address in Kirkland Avenue, Ballingry, on Saturday and recovered around £1,500 of class B and C drugs as part of the ongoing Operation Prospect campaign.

A 57-year-old man and a 35-year-old female were arrested in connection with possession and supply of the drugs and the possession of two Tasers and unlicensed air weapons.

They appeared at Dunfermline Sheriff court on Monday 20th November and were remanded in custody.

Sergeant Neil McGurk of the Community Investigation Unit said: “These arrests are a direct result of intelligence given to us by members of the public who have made it clear to us that they will not tolerate drug crime.

“Whenever we receive information from the public relating to drugs offences, we will carry out a robust investigation and enforcement action.

“Operation Prospect is the ongoing campaign to make arrests and seize these harmful substances before they cause untold harm in Fife’s communities."
