THE Spooky Walk held at Lochore Meadows Country Park has been a tremendous success over the past few years and attracted visitors from as far away as Tayside.

It is a major community event which last year raised several thousand pounds for good causes in Benarty and the organisers are looking for the same this year.

But they would welcome some help to make the trail 'perfect'.

The 2017 walk will take place at Lochore Meadows Country Park on Saturday October 28.

Said the Fundraisers’ James Fotheringham, “We are looking forward to a really fun day next Saturday with things kicking off at 6pm.

“Registration to take part will start at six at the lounge in Lochore Institute and then we are intending that groups set out on the Spooky Walk in the Meedies in groups of eight or ten.

“There are a few little surprises planned for the walkers and while we will have sponsor sheets available we are hoping that donations will also me made.”

Added James: "I’m still looking for helpers to be spooks and set builders.

"If anyone could devote an hour or two to help make this event really special I would love to hear from them.

"We just need a few people to assist make it a really spooky night!"

Sponsor sheets can be obtained from James on 07801855566 or the Fundraisers' Facebook page.

After the Spooky Walk a Halloween Disco will be held starting at 8pm while for the younger element a children’s disco is to be held at Lochore Institute starting at 6pm.

Added James, “People who are taking part in the walk will probably be advised to wear the appropriate footwear for walking at the Meedies after all the wet weather we have experienced.
