THE Cardenden Community Forum's Tots2TeenTogs initiative has been overwhelmed by the reaction to its back to school project.

Thanks to the support of the Sainsbury store, in Kirkcaldy, T2TT held a special event on Wednesday August 2.

The T2TT volunteers, Vi Penman and Nicola Wilson, were at Sainsburys as the store held a special back to school day and Vi and Nicola were hoping that parents buying items for their kids would consider donating items to T2TT.

The Cardenden duo could not have expected the generosity of the patrons at Sainsburys that day.

Said Vi: "Once again we can only say thank-you to all the support we had when we visited Sainsbury’s to promote T2TT, and see if anyone would like to add a little something to our trolley for our back to school new clothes project.

"The response to this was overwhelming and we could not believe it."

Added Nicola: "Customers and the staff at Sainsbury’s were so generous. We so appreciated people's donations.

"Also those making donations were so keen to make time to listen to what our project was all about.

"We would like to say special thanks to Diane, Hazel, Wilma and Mary, and we cannot forget Izzy at Sainsbury’s, for all their backing. A BIG THANK YOU TO ALL AGAIN".

Vi added that since T2TT started two years ago the management and staff at the Sainsburys in the Kirkcaldy store have been so supportive.

She said: "The donations we have received from them have made a big difference to the people who come to the Corrie Centre to use the project.

"We have seen many families in need of support been able to give their children good clothes through the tremendous quality donations we have received from the public.

"It really has been quite remarkable and we cannot thank those who support us enough."
