THE weather gods were pretty kind to Kelty's Gala Committee with the sun peeking through the clouds pretty regularly and it staying dry.
Albeit there was a pretty strong wind but it all allowed the gala day to take place with things going well.
Despite the blowy conditions the villagers hit Main Street to set the parade at about noon and soon the pavements were packed.
Gala Queen Iona Fernie and her Princesses Mia Aitken and Millie Storrar were chosen and popular figures at the park.
Also centre of attention were the Kelty Hearts party who had with them the East Super League Trophy captured by them after a superb season which saw them lead the table from start to finish.
The Gala Parade went around the village and took in Cocklaw Street and Main Street and Bath Street on its way to the park and saw people take on an international flavour.
A group of Japanese drummers gave things a real swing and there were also Motown singers who added spice to the day.
The park events went pretty much as well as could be hoped with crowds flocking to the venue and having a great time with some great rides and stalls.
