THINGS are looking good for Hill of Beath with four new members elected to the village's community council.

The community council was only reformed two years ago but it has been busy helping see several new projects succeeding in the village.

The community council's AGM was held on Tuesday in Hill of Beath Community Centre which attracted an excellent turnout, probably one of their busiest meetings, secretary Laura Watson observed.

The following were elected to form the committee, William Bishop (Chair), Emma Miller (Vice Chair), Adele Corner (Treasurer) and Laura Watson (Secretary). Five committee members were also elected, four were new to the Community Council.

Said Laura: "This means the Community Council can carry on into 2018 and develop the current ongoing projects which include a skate park and Multi Use Games Area, which part funding has been made available for.

"Some money has also been made available towards a new playpark so things will be happening over the next few years within the village".

The community council would like to thank everyone for their support on Tuesday at the AGM and hope that future meetings will be as popular.

The next Community Council meeting will take place in August (missing out July for holidays) and a date will be confirmed and advertised in the usual places including the Times.
