A TEENAGER has been sentenced for assaults on his former partner.
In the dock at Dunfermline Sheriff Court was Jake Adamson, 19, now living at Foulford Road, Cowdenbeath.
He previously admitted that between May 1-18 at an address in Townhill, Dunfermline, he behaved in a threatening or abusive manner by repeatedly kicking and banging on a door, demanded entry to the premises, repeatedly shouted, swore and threw a mobile phone at his partner.
He also admitted that between May 1-18 at the same address, he assaulted his partner by repeatedly punching her on her body to her injury.
Adamson further admitted that on May 18 at the same address, he assaulted his partner by repeatedly striking her on the head, lay on top of her and pinned her to a bed and struggled with her to her injury.
Defence solicitor Gwenn Haggerty said her client was in employment as a kitchen porter and the relationship was now at an end.
The court heard Adamson already had a conviction for an analogous domestic offence.
Sheriff Craig McSherry imposed a community payback order with 140 hours of unpaid work and Adamson will also take part in the domestic offenders’ group work programme.
