A COWDENBEATH family were so impressed with the work of the staff at Dunfermline's Queen Margaret Hospital Hospice when the lost their wife and mum they decided to raise funds for the facility.
The Dows, from Sinclair Drive, held a fundraising night at the town's Broad Street Bowling Club and with support from friends and workmates of Lesley and George Dow at Kinross's Todd and Duncan mill, raised £1,835.
George said: "The staff at Ward 16 at the Queen Margaret are really excellent and we wanted to do something to show our gratitude.
"Our workmates at Todd and Duncan fully backed the event and I was delighted with the support from everyone who took part."
