A TEENAGER has appeared in court after assaults on his partner.

In the dock at Dunfermline Sheriff Court was Jake Adamson, 19, now living at Foulford Road, Cowdenbeath.

He admitted that between May 1-18 at an address in Townhill, he behaved in a threatening or abusive manner by repeatedly kicking and banging on a door, demanded entry to the premises, repeatedly shouted, swore and threw a mobile phone at his partner.

He also admitted that between May 1-18 at the same address, he assaulted his partner by repeatedly punching her on her body to her injury.

Adamson further admitted that on May 18 at the same address, he assaulted his partner by repeatedly striking her on the head, lay on top of her and pinned her to a bed and struggled with her to her injury.

Sheriff Alison McKay told Adamson: “I take the view these are serious charges.”

She was also concerned that he already had a conviction for an analogous offence.

She called for reports and Adamson will be sentenced on June 20.
