COWDENBEATH Rotary Club, delighted to hear of the success of their 10 year backing of M Annakodi, are to continue their support of the Joe Homan Trust, which sees Indian youngsters’ education sponsored.

Each year over the past decade, the Rotary Club has paid the Joe Homan Trust £215 towards Annakodi’s education.

What it has done has helped him move through primary and secondary levels and seen him able to develop his studies and achieve a diploma as a mechanical engineer.

The club was so pleased get a letter from him thanking them for their backing which has helped him able to develop his talents.

International convener, Tom Russell, told the club on Thursday: “Remarkably, in the summer, our ten years of supporting Annakodi will come to an end.

“He has proudly written to thank us and sent a picture of him with his paperwork.

“He is so happy with everything that his ‘uncles and aunties’ in Cowdenbeath has done for him.”

The club members plan to send him a special memento of their decade of support and also intend continuing their backing of the Homan project by supporting both a boy and a girl from this summer.

Tom is to contact the Trust to see what can be set up.
