A LAD who got himself involved in a "stramash" on the street has been sentenced to a Community Payback Order.

On Thursday at Alloa Sheriff Court, Jordan Spiers admitted shouting, swearing and acting in an aggressive manner outside an address in the town's Springfield Road on June 18 last year.

Fiscal depute Graham McLachlan told the court that it was around 11.30pm when witnesses were made aware of a commotion outside their house and the accused was seen to be acting like a yob.

Defending, it was claimed that 19-year-old Spiers did not know the other perpetrators. He simply came across the "stramash" and stupidly got involved.

Spiers, of Millers Lade Avenue in Sauchie, could offer no explanation as to why he acted the way he did, but alcohol was said to play a part.

Sheriff David Mackie sentenced the accused to a CPO with supervision for 12 months and a conduct requirement to attend Venture Trust.
