POLICE are appealing for information after vandals struck at Hill of Beath Primary School over the weekend.

They described damaged caused to the school's nursery garden, which included fencing and its playhouse, as "reckless" and have urged anyone who has information to come forward or call 101.

Parents and carers successfully fundraised, installed and painted a new fence for the nursery during the last school session, as well as working in partnership with Asda to secure a new playhouse, and with the Royal Bank of Scotland to improve the outdoor play area.

Equipment such as number lines, alphabet lines and nursery rhymes have been added to the garden to promote literacy and numeracy.
