A GREAT social occasion which raises money for charity will be going ahead this Friday at Cowdenbeath's Central Park.

The Kingdom Bike Night is a major family occasion at Cowden's stadium with all age groups taking part in fun events.

This Friday evening's event will be raising cash for the Cowdenbeath based Curly Star Foundation, which offers advice to families who have suffered loss through a suicide of a young member; and Cowdenbeath Civic Week.

Backed by Saltire Powder Coatings and Kingdom Bike Spares the event is all about family involvement.

Said John Ward, who is involved in helping make the fun events go smoothly: "It is an evening where motorcycle enthusiasts gather for fun and and raising money for good causes.

"We meet the last Friday of each month at Central Park and there will be entertainment for the kids and adults this week.

"There will be food stalls and such things as the opportunity for the kids to throw wet sponges and mum and dad!

"There will be motorbikes for people to look and it is all about having fun."

Entry to the night is £2 and the event runs from 6pm to 9pm.
