A KEY stage in the development of the new visitor centre at Lochore Meadows Country Park took place last midweek when the site of the former facility was cleared.
The demolition team quickly cleared the site at the loch side and the next stage will be the preparation of the foundations for the new modular park centre.
The facility was over 40 years-old and had been extended several times to deal with the increased usage of the park.
The actual modules are currently being put together and once the foundations are in place the new park centre can take shape.
It is intended that the new structure will take shape during the coming season with it to be complete by September/October.
There are plans in place to ensure that there will be facilities available for the hundreds of thousands of visitors expected to Lochore Meadows using the existing outdoor education centre.
