THE Bowhill People's Burns Club's annual primary schoolchildren's competition was held in the Bowhill Learning & Development Centre and produced some outstanding performances.
The children produced some outstanding renditions and were warmly received.
With over 30 entrants reciting Burns poems the judges had a hard time deciding on the winners.
In the group 6 years and under first place went to Milla Scott, second – Elizabeth Fleming.
Group 7 to 9 years, first place Finlay Hutchison, second – Amy Brown, third – Katie Docherty, fourth – Amy Scott.
Group 10 to 12 years First place, Eileen Elias, Second – Elli Butchart. Singers were few but in the 7 to 9 group Ann Saiju won the Shield and in 10 to 12 group Eileen Elias triumphed again to win that Shield.
Contestants this year came from Glenrothes, Dunfermline and Kirkcaldy as well as the St Ninian's, Denend and Cardenden Primaries.
