THE Children’s Club at Bowhill Centre, in Cardenden, enjoyed an action packed, fun filled night last week thank to the input of Dean at Homefront Histories.

He provided a night of entertainment and education to the young people about World War 2.

As part of the session there was a huge range of memorabilia that Dean has collected over the years, giving the young people a chance to see and experience items from the war.

The young people go to dress up in outfits, everything from soldiers to nurses and Air Raid Patrols. The group also took part in doing puzzles and quizzes even made their own ration books.

There was an array of equipment that was used during the war and the young people even got to make the air raid siren sound – something that the young people loved doing!

The group really enjoyed their visit into the past and said it was a great experience and it was fun learning about it. They would like to thank Dean once again for giving up his time to come and visit us.

The Children’s Club takes place every Tuesday form 6pm – 8pm at Bowhill Centre for children aged 8-12years.
