DUNFERMLINE Lloyds Banking Group colleagues volunteered to to support local Fife Primary Schools on Safer Internet Day 2017 and pupils at a Cowdenbeath school has benefitted.

Some 20 colleagues used their volunteering day, supporting the local community over five days by raising awareness of the importance of staying safe online as part of Safer Internet Day.

With Lloyds Banking Group’s volunteering programme, colleagues are invited to use at least one working day a year helping support their local community.

The Lloyds staff members went to Cowdenbeath Primary School, in Broad Street and helped pupils understand the dangers the Internet can hold.

John Whitehouse, Colleague Performance Manager said: "As part of the Group’s ambition to Help Britain Prosper, we were thrilled to use our volunteering day to support local people and help our community thrive.

"We really enjoyed the opportunity and feel we have created new links to support local schools with future projects."
