Brian and June Miller, owners at the Hill Street nursery, were delighted when Rascals Nursery were awarded The Eco School Green Flag, for their environmental contributions.

Colin Bird, chairman of Cowdenbeath Horticultural Society told our reporter that he was delighted and honoured to be asked to present Rascals Nursery with their Green flag.

Colin added: "This is all about partnership working where one group helps another and that's what Rascals have been doing for many years by exhibiting and Supporting Cowdenbeath Flower show.

"The future of flower show is all about getting youngsters interested and Rascals do this on a daily basis where they are growing plants or baking, recycling or drawing pictures, all things that help make our flower show great". Also in attendance was Mary Scott, one of the society's schools conveners, who added: "To see all the hard work the schools and nurseries put in to help make our flower show, it was good to see Rascals, as one of our great supporters, get rewarded for their hard work".
