TWO LHS pupils showed that they are definitely chefs of the future.
Katie Smith and Kirsty MacDonald both represented Lochgelly High School at the Fife future Chef Local Final and showed that they could be Nigella Lawsons of the future!
Both girls were incredible on the day demonstrating excellent technical skills and organisation – the judges all commented on how impressed they were with the standard of their dishes!
A huge well done went to Katie who won the Fife Final and went on to represent Fife at the Regional Finals at Glasgow College – an amazing achievement! Well done!
At the Central and South Scotland Future Chef Regional Finals Katie was again in superb form.
Katie's methods and dishes impressed the judges and she came second.
Katie showed real dedication and commitment in the lead up to the competition practising her dishes with her mentor chef.
The judges on the day again commented on her organisation skills and the detail and skill involved in the presentation of her dishes – not to mention the taste! What an achievement!
