THIS week's Down Memory Lane pictures come from Ian Fraser, who has people contacting from all over the world about the pictures he features on his Old Lochgelly web page.

The selection features the different kinds of transport seen on the streets of Central Fife in bygone days.

The first one is the horse and cart delivery service from the Woodbine Dairy, in Cardenden

The second one is a Dunfermline to Lochgelly tram photographed in Cowdenbeath - notice the open air upper deck which must have produced an uncomfortable ride during the winter months.

Next is a Lochgelly steam engine which shunted the coal wagons between the Jenny Gray and the Nellie pits, crossing Auchterderran Road in the process.

This particular pug is still in working order, although now called Forth, and can be seen at the Fife Heritage Rail site at Leven.

The fourth picture is a mobile chip cart, owned by Lochgelly man Jackie White, which toured the district for many years. On Sundays, Jackie travelled round the town selling newspapers from his horse and cart.

If you have any old pictures you would like to see in our Down Memory Lane feature send them to editorial@centralfifetimes.co.uk or take them to the Times Office, 17 Bank Street, Lochgelly, on a Monday or a Friday.
