THE community garden in Cardenden has been getting an upgrade of a different kind.

The Junior Youth Club at Bowhill Centre, have been a busy bunch over the last few weeks. They have being doing their bit to spruce up the community garden in the village.

Supported by the Youth Workers they have been busy reclaiming old rocks and painting them bright colours which they have now placed round the perimeter of the garden.

The children have also renovated a couple of old bird boxes and have given them a lick of paint and have placed these in the garden too.

The group are looking to continue to be involved in the garden and hope that their bird boxes and stones will add a bit of colour in the winter.

The junior Youth Club takes place every Tuesday from 6pm – 8pm at Bowhill Centre for children aged 8-12years.
