THE Cardenden Community Bonfire Committee is asking the businsess community for assistance as preparations continue for this year big event.

This year’s bonfire and fireworks display is being held on Friday November 4 in Wallsgreen Park, Cardenden at 7pm.

Thanks to strong fundraising by the bonfire committee another top fireworks display can be expected and crowd of more than 4000 should crowd into the park.

But the committee is looking for help to make sure that the 2016 bonfire is as good as any before.

To do that they will need all the right ingredients and construction will start a week next Friday.

Said the Bonfire Committee's Margaret King: "We are appealing for local companies to support our event by donating pallets or any ‘clean’ wood that can be used to build our bonfire.

"Any contribution would be warmly welcomed for it is important to get the make up of the bonfire just right."

Over the past few years the business people of the Cardenden-Lochgelly area have rally around to assist and the committee hope that this continues this year.

Meanwhile all the plans are in place to make Bonfire Night 2016 another big success.

If anyone can help with the supply of wood for the bonfire please call Bowhill Centre on 01592 583471.
