THE Stranglers are bringing their ‘Classic Collection’ to Dunfermline next year.

They'll be playing at the Alhambra Theatre on Friday March 10 with tickets already on sale.

One of the longest surviving bands to have emerged from the UK punk scene of the late 1970s, the Stranglers are best known for songs such as Golden Brown, No More Heroes, Peaches, Skin Deep, Strange Little Girl, Always the Sun and 96 Tears.

And following the sell-out success of their Black and White tour last year, the group are hitting the road again with a stop-off in Dunfermline one to savour.

They'll present the Classic Collection to coincide with the planned re-release of their entire studio album catalogue from the period 1977-82.

Drawing from a string of hits spanning some 40 years, the Stranglers bring an exciting mix of material, all bearing their distinctive signature style; driving rhythms, anthemic melodies, quirky time signatures and occasional dark humour, held together by those trademark rumbling bass lines and swirling keyboards.

Jet Black and Jean-Jacques Burnel are still there from the band's formation in 1974 and the Stranglers are currently riding high on the crest of a resurgent wave of popularity.

With record-breaking, sell-out shows and festival appearances throughout the UK and the rest of the world, public demand to hear and see the group has never been so high.

Ruts DC will be special guests on the tour.

Tickets are available from gigsandtours.com and by calling 0844 811 0051.
