FIFE voted strongly to remain in the EU in yesterday's pole as did the whole of Scotland.
However, the UK wide results announced only a few hours ago show that the final figures reveal hat Leave campaign has won.
In Fife 58.6 per cent voted to Remain with 41.4 voting to Leave. The turn out was 67 per cent.
The UK figure was 51.9 per cent vote to Leave the EU with 48.1 per cent to Remain. The national turn out was 72.2 per cent.
Following the result Prime Minister David Cameron announced his decision to resign.
