THE new Cowdenbeath MSP, Annabelle Ewing, has talked this afternoon about her sense of honour in representing the Cowdenbeath constituency at the Scottish Parliament.
Commenting on her election as the Member of the Scottish Parliament for the Cowdenbeath constituency, Ms Ewing said: “I am absolutely delighted and feel a real sense of honour and privilege to have been elected to represent the people of the Cowdenbeath constituency in the Scottish Parliament.
“I want to thank everyone in the local SNP who worked so hard to secure this fantastic result but I also want to pay tribute to my opponents, particularly Alex Rowley - I have experienced the loss of a seat in the past so I can understand what he will be feeling right now.
“More than anything, though, I want to thank the people of this fine constituency for putting their faith in me, I will do everything in my power to repay that trust.”
