FIFE'S Health and Social Care Partnership have published their full Strategic Plan (2016-19) setting out the vision for the transformation of service from children’s health, young adults through to older people’s care, all of which are now the joint responsibility of the Partnership.
To inform and shape the Plan over a thousand people and agencies responded to a three month consultation, the results of which led to the formation of the Strategic Plan and the future of health and social care services in Fife which will cover the Cowdenbeath and Lochgelly area.

Cllr. Andrew Rodger is chair of the Partnership’s Integration Joint Board and he said this week: “The Strategic Plan is the backbone of our vision for Fife and was informed by the hundreds of comments and ideas which were generated as a result last year’s consultation.
"This is just the start of seeing a once in a generation transformation across health and social care.
"We will continue to work with patients, service users, carers, service partners and many others to build on what works now and how we can transform areas where people experience frustration due to duplication and complicated access to the services and care they need. By working smarter and in partnership, we can make best use of scarce resources and at the same time, drive up best practice.”
Sandy Riddell, Director, Health and Social Care added: “The voice of the people lies at the centre of positive change and I thank everyone who got involved in shaping the future of care in Fife.
"By working together we can continue to support those with the highest needs, whilst keep people living safe and independent lives for as long as possible.”
