A BALLINGRY man was disqualified from driving for 16 months after falling asleep at the wheel of his car.
Dunfermline Sheriff Court heard that William McKean, 62, Kirktoun Gardens, admitted that on September 22 last year, on the B920, he drove dangerously and l;ost control of the vehicle, entering the opposing carriageway and collided with a bus, whereby damage was caused to both vehicles and some bus passengers suffered injuries.
Sheriff Charles MacNair heard that the bus was slowing down to stop to let a passenger off when accused's car swerved across the road and collided with it.
McKean told police he had fallen asleep and felt this was because he was working 12 hour shifts and had been on medication.
In addition to the disqualification McKean was fined £600.
