POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a break-in at a betting shop in Cowdenbeath.
The incident happened around 5am today (Thursday) at the Ladbrokes shop on the High Street.
After the premises were entered, a cancer charity collection bucket was stolen from inside and officers are now urging anyone who can assist with their inquiries to come forward.
Detective Inspector Des FitzGerald from Dunfermline Police Station said: “At this time we are trying to establish the full circumstances surrounding this incident as well as the number of individuals involved.
“I would ask that anyone who believes they may have seen any suspicious activity in the Cowdenbeath High Street area between 3am and 6am on Thursday 11th February to contact police immediately.
“In addition, anyone with information that can help us identify those responsible should also get in touch.”
