LITTLE Laila Seath has found herself appearing on television screens over the past few days.

The 8 year-old was in Glasgow with her mum Adele and sister Bonnie one day when the two of them were approached by a person asking if the two children would like to appear in a TV advert advertising The Forge Shopping Centre's Christmas attractions.

Said Adele, Glenniston Cottage, by Auchtertool: "The TV people wanted both Laila and Bonnie to take part in the advert but while Bonnie was a bit shy Laila simply was delighted to get involved.

"I was a bit reticent at the time just wondering is this right, but once we went through for the filming it was very interesting and Laila took to it like a duck to water."

The Auchtertool Primary School pupil was filmed as part of a family at The Forge with a young boy as her brother and an actress as her 'mum' and it was done with the Laila enjoying every minute of it.

Added Adele: "It was a really good experience and we were treated superbly by the film crew and the director.

"Laila's 'brother' has appeared in the River City BBC 1 soap opera and he was a really nice young boy.

"When Bonnie saw what was going on she has now been thinking that she should have agreed to take part as well!"

The advert has appeared regularly on STV and will do right through the Christmas period and Laila's festive pocket money has increased significantly thanks to a payment from the TV people.

Laila's grandparents Joe and Jane McDonald are very proud of the way she has taken to appearing on TV as are dad Russell's mum and dad.
