CHILDREN parents and staff at Rascals Nursery, in Cowdenbeath, have been supporting charities in the UK and overseas.

£370 was donated to local charity CSNIP's, who support children with additional needs in pre-school. This sum was raised from a sponsored toddle around the Public Park in Cowdenbeath.

A further £180 was raised for Macmillan by hosting a Big Coffee Morning in September.

In October Rascals Nursery teamed up with Thistle Medical Training and Acorn Aid (Scotland) to collect useful items for communities in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The beneficiaries were Centar Duga, a children's home in Kulen Vakuf; Konjodor School, near Buzim; A home for teenagers in Bosanska Krupa; NK Sloga Football Club in Otoka; and a clinic in Bihac.

To complete the 'four in a row' Pudsey Bear visited Rascals Nursery on Friday November 13 to help the children raise money for Children in Need. The children dressed up and donated £1 to this charity, and the total sum raised was £35.

Rascals Nursery owners, Brian and June Miller, thank everyone for their commitment by being actively involved in the life of Rascals Nursery and engaging with the local and wider community.
