Thought I'd better get in touch as wasn't sure if I gave you the entertainers details for the article regarding having the charity night for Macmillan cancer support and the curly star dream foundation...Jackie Jarrett, Jimmy jack, tam small,Kim Wilson Lauryn donnachie and disco by Brian hodge.

All the local pubs and businesses in the town contributed to the raffle as well as the ladies who attended on the night big thanks also to our four stewards Alex ,James,Ross and Johnny . Everybody was so generous....Jennifer and Jim would have been so proud in that £2200 was raised for the chosen charities.

Curly star had their photo taken yesterday by your photographer ,as we received a cheque from a local fundraising event organised by Helen Whyte and family. I would appreciate if you could add a wee bit thanking Helen and everyone who attended the ladies night. The monies raised was distributed to ourselves and Macmillan cancer support.

Our wee speel - we just want to continue to spread the word that we are hear for people who are struggling, especially as we approach the festive season, as this always proves to be our busiest time!

Curly star was founded by Jackie and Callum Easton in 2007, in response to the loss of their daughter Candice. .........

The charity is based locally in Cowdenbeath and offers emotional support to individuals and families throughout Fife who have been affected by suicide.

Our aim is to provide crisis support on impact supporting people throughout an extremely difficult and confusing time. The charity has been established 8 years and is evolving in line with the needs of our local community.

Support is currently being offered to individuals and their families who have experienced the devastating impact of suicide. We also offer support to those who are experiencing mental health issues who may have had or are experiencing suicidal thoughts.

A local support group is currently being developed which will offer emotional support and the opportunity to meet with others who are experiencing similar difficulties.

Having recently received £800 from a local charity event held in memory of Jim

and Jennifer Morman .our plan is to utilise this money by purchasing IT equipment. Special thanks to Helen Whyte and all who attended the event and the kind donation we received. Without these donations the support we offer could not continue.....

Anyone interested in holding a charity event in the near future please contact the charity. Info@curlystar.org. Also if you want to do be part of our volunteer service please contact jackie for further information.
